Fred Eyer is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He moved to Colorado in 1986 after having pursued a career as a guitarist in bands throughout the 1970's and 80's, abandoning life on the road to "settle down" in Colorado and accept what others had known since he was a child- that he would one day follow in his father's footsteps and become a professional artist. His fascination with people's faces and personalities led to portraiture and then to caricature, which better suited his nature as both artist and performer. Through caricature he could express himself creatively by adding gentle humor to what nature presented as subject matter, and could also enjoy entertaining crowds by drawing live for events.
He is currently married to his soulmate, Pascale ( a fantastic teacher whose website "Quality French" can be seen here), and enjoys the company of two wonderful step-children (Miriam, whose talents and creativity are a delight and inspiration, and the equally talented Eric, whose formidable knowledge of all things computer makes this site possible: see his web hosting site here).
